Today i came across an article in the metro manorama on food products being dumped into the canal. i felt sorry to see the pictures along with the story. we on a daily basis complain of scarcity of food and aren't we seeing what is hapening around us? many people are starving because they have no food. it seems the scarcity is all because of the mismanagement of the food produce. In the article it was said that the kudumbashree units have procured the food products for marketing in the brand name of ' people' and a crore and more of rupees was invested for it. However they failed to do so and these were kept in the locked store room since last january. The food products have now become unfit for consumption. Ten tons of food has been wasted! Who will now take the responsibility of wasting so much which could have been distributed among the starving souls? This may or may not have been channelised to the poor sections of the society as our public distribution system is so bad. so why bother? Does it really concern me?? Well , for a moment it does. Why not after that? Because it is deeply rooted in me that this scenario will continue to thrive until we get efficient and responsible rulers or administrators.Peace with the starving souls!
